In the same theme as "Going Up North", this tune is about the journey from the suburbs/city to the northwoods. Growing up in Green Bay, Matt's family would spend most of the their weekends in the UP of Michigan. Matt always felt more at home in the UP and moved up there permanently in 2000. The lyrics speak of the trip north as it is "getting better all the time" and "I feel the same way every time, we go across that state line" is about the good feeling of crossing from Wisconsin to Michigan's UP. Brian sped up the original tempo, to give it more energy it has some hinds of african rhythms and guitar melodies. Enjoy the ride!
